HorizonLux Portal

Internal safety platform built for HorizonLux to monitor employee safety across sites. Supervisors receive real-time alerts when something needs attention, field observations flow into a central log, and dashboards turn the data into trends and reports that management can act on.

01

The problem

HorizonLux needed a way to keep track of employee safety across multiple sites. Incidents and observations were recorded in different places and often reached management late, supervisors had no live view of what was happening in the field, and producing safety reports meant collecting data by hand. The company wanted a single internal platform that could alert the right people in real time and turn safety data into something they could act on.

02

The solution

I built the portal as a full-stack engineer on the team, with a React and TypeScript front end and a NestJS API backed by Supabase. Field observations and incidents flow into a central log, rules decide who needs to be alerted and the platform notifies them in real time, and dashboards break the data down by site, team, and period. The portal also became the home for related modules such as training records and employee tracking, so safety information lives next to the people and sites it concerns.

The result

Supervisors now see safety events as they happen instead of at the end of the week, and management has reports and trends available without anyone compiling them by hand. The platform replaced a mix of spreadsheets and emails with one system the whole company uses, and it gave HorizonLux a foundation to add new safety modules over time.
